“Our vision is to change the way care is delivered in England.  Drawing on the best of healthcare, social care and the service industry, aVida Care aims to provide a genuine choice to those people wanting to remain in their own home and choose to maintain their quality of life and standard of living.”

We aim to provide high quality domiciliary care services to customers in and around Gloucestershire and across the UK.  We want to be the 1st Choice Provider for home care and to offer highly specialist services that our customers will find unique and recommend to a growing population that wish to remain independent in their own homes.

Our Mission, Values and Vision
home care & domestic care

aVida Care believes that everyone has the right to live at home regardless of their need for social or healthcare, and to receive care of a quality that enables them to continue living life in the way, and to the standard they are accustomed to.

We pride ourselves on providing quality services which enable service users to continue living independently at home for as long as possible. We do this by tailoring care packages to individual needs and then delivering them reliably - with respect to the client’s wishes, choices, maintaining privacy and dignity at all times.

The aVida Difference
nursing and specialist care

aVida Care was formed in 2011, bringing together a strong leadership team built from years of clinical and operational experience, developing innovative solutions in the health and social care environment.

St. Vincent’s Care (formerly St. Vincent’s Nursing Agency) was  established  in 1985. In the 18 months that followed, St. Vincent’s  registered as one of the first nursing agencies in Gloucestershire.

In 2000, St. Vincent’s were awarded a ‘preferred provider’ block contract with Gloucestershire County Council.

In February 2009, St. Vincent’s closed it’s nursing agency provision and has been developing its Domiciliary Care Service ever since.

In May 2012, the organisation joined the Downton Homecare group of companies and, in August of 2013, we launched our new brand, aVida Care.
